THAT'S TRUE, TENDULKAR IS INVESTING IN IOT

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar (God of cricket) has come forward to invest in and has become the brand ambassador of the Bangalore Based IOT company Smartron India.

Smartron: what’s that?
Smartron is a company that has been working In the field of IOT since August 2014 and now the company is all set to launch a whole new lot of smart devices and internet enabled or Internet of Things (IoT) products. Smartron is working on the products for consumer and enterprise markets, you could see the products by in the first quarter of Financial Year 2016-17.
Smartron is leaded by Mahesh Lingareddy and he is the co-founder and CEO of Soft Machines Inc as well, again Soft Machines is a US-based semiconductor company running smoothly in US, India and Russia.
The company has a very clear vision and is betting on the IoT wave and they are developing products in the areas of robotics, artificial intelligence, smart, sensor, cloud and big data technologies. And the reason behind this strategy is to bring and launch smart devices and services so that to make IOT accessible enough for the crowd in India.

Why would Sachin fund this cause?
As per Tendulkar’s words, “I have always been fascinated by technology”.Smartron’s founding vision is quite impressive as it is targeting for a robust growth in the product ecosystem in India. And there is a big need to support and nurture the brands that are being carved, engineered and developed in India by Indians, he further added that by doing this only, we could be able to compete to the vast horizon of global markets. I look forward to be a vital part of the invincible journey of Smartron leaded by a great team and tremendous growth opportunities offered by IoT worldwide.”

So this is the perfect time for our budding engineers and technopreneurs to start their journey in the field of IOT. As this is one of the hottest topics in recent times.

Drones: The flying demons

The IT Sector is witnessing a very rapid growth, whether you talk about the miniature devices, nano robots or any other consumer electronic goods. But one of the most talked topic in today's tech world are the Drones. Starting from the concept of the doctor drone or the drone that has gained popularity as Pizza delivery drone the last year in Mumbai, they are just being used to make our lives better. But as technology has some good and bad aspect as well, the Drones too have some flaws. But we won't talk about them here, so let's have an eye on usability and the future of drones. Roboyantra has some key points to ponder that will definitely help you understanding the role of a drone.

For Security

When it comes to security point of view, drones posses a big leap. Drones are being used in border areas for spying the areas where its tough for the military to reach. But on the other hand, being a connected electronic machine or so called a flying robot, the risk of being hacked is always there. So, it's a big topic for debate that whether drones should be used for in defense sector or not. But we can't deny with the fact that they are one of the best robots or watch-guards over the international borders or even for your private property.

For Arial photography

Gone were the days when Bollywood has to use helicopters and choppers for Arial views, now film industry is using drones on a wide scale for filming most of the Arial shots. Doesn't need to mention that it's far more economical and feasible than helicopters that film industry used for shooting.  And not only film industry, introduction of the go pro camera has made it possible for a common man to shoot his/her own function from the sky. another achievement for the drones, aren't they awesome.

For medical emergency and disaster management

No one has forgotten yet the devastating earthquake that has hit and almost destroyed Nepal the last year.  You can have a glimpse of the disaster that has struck Nepal badly in this video, the drones were used to monitor the very remote areas of the country and they played a vital role in providing the support to the victims.  Proving once again that drones could be useful to drop emergency medical support to flood victims and it could be one of the most important part of  the disaster management team.

For Transportation

This is not different from the ones that I have mentioned above in this post, but still this could be classified. Amazon is testing drones for same day delivery of online orders, and its quite possible that you would witness that a drone is at your doorstep to deliver you that Adidas shoe that you have ordered.

Doesn't matter how we are using drones or for what purposes we are using them, until and unless they are in the safe hands they are one of the smartest machine on the earth. But the moment they will land in the evil hands they could be one of the most disastrous invention for the mankind. It's no wonder at all why many countries have banned the drones for public sector.
But  all things apart, you simply can't deny the fact that they have become an important part in our IT world. Drones are the future of our aviation and you could expect that in near future you could buy a drone and use it as your personal flying car. So, just wait and watch, the best is yet to come.

THE ALL NEW RASPI:3

Raspberry pi has became an instant hit since it's launch, as it has changed the way we think n design computing, EOT and IOT product. with its latest launch in the hood it has took this journey way further by embedding Bluetooth and WiFi modules on board. As of now you have to buy separate wireless modules for raspberry pi, but now you won't need these as they are pre-built on the board itself.

Here are the key features of the newly launched Raspberry Pi 3:

  • Broadcom BCM2837 64bit ARMv7 Quad Core Processor, clocked at 1.2GHz
  • 1GB RAM
  • BCM43143 WiFi on board for wireless internet
  • Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) on board.
  • 40pin extended GPIO same as previous model.
  • 4 x USB 2 ports.
  • 4 pole Stereo output with Composite video port as well.
  • Full size HDMI port for connection with LED and LCD TVs.
  • CSI camera port.
  • DSI display port to connect Pi touch screen display module.
  • Upgraded switched Micro USB power source is now there to support up-to 2.4 Amps.
So with increased memory, power and capabilities the new Raspberry pi 3 is ready to rock once again. this time raspberry pi has 10x more power than its predecessors, which means it is the best and the most powerful pi till date.

Here is a detailed image of new raspberry Pi, you can check all other details about newly launched pi from its official page

so grab your Raspberry Pi and start making wonders, as this thing will surely going to shape the future of embedded electronics and robotics.

Robotics: How Important In Schools?

With the introduction of humanoids like Asimo, I cub, Atlas unplugged, Romeo, Petman and many more; the robotics world has reached a whole new level. With each passing days we are witnessing more powerful and user friendly robots for almost every task. They are not only smart enough, but getting a huge popularity as well. Robots are playing a very important role in the evolution of technology, and robotics education has become one of the hot topics in recent times. Robotics companies should be thankful to Apple, Nintendo and Microsoft and other market players working on artificial intelligence. Defunct start up ‘Willow Garage’’ has initiated the ROS robot OS project and making it clear that robotics has a robust future.

But still there is a huge gap between the corporates and the citizens or there are lesser sources to perform or learn robotics in distant areas. In the countries like USA and Germany students have already started learning robotics from the middle school itself. But if we talk about India, then we don’t think that there is a need of any explanation on this issue. Excluding a few schools there are still millions of students completely unaware of the term robotics, and they won’t even think that they could be able to learn robotics during their school life. Leave robotics, they don’t even know about the basics of electronics. But the fault is not their’s, as it’s our education system that has the flaws. We are just focussing on the generations old education system with the same concepts and the same books. But the technology growth is speeding enormously and it’s not possible to cope up with this ever connected world by just following the old schooling system.

The only way in which we can make this change happen is by introducing the robotics education in schools. The reason behind, is that the young generation and the young minds are more curious to learn and adopt the change. By introducing robotics to school kids, we can be able to teach them the basics of science and technology. And the early introduction of programming and embedded electronics will surely boost their tendency to learn the new technical concepts.

Here we are going to present a few points to support introduction of Robotics in schools.

1.       Robots are awesome and they will continue to amaze homo-sapiens.  We humans are fascinated with the technology from years and our imagination has gifted us some of the heavily awesome technological devices. We’re quit obsessed with building smart and automated machines that can make our tasks easier. Believe it or not but the  robots are here to stay, so it would be better if we  get used to it…and the best way is it to start it as early as we can.

2.       Robots have emerged significantly and there are innumerous movies in which robots have appeared or dominated as a lead character. Whether you talk about the Jetsons, the Terminators, I Robot, R2D2, Stepford Wives, Transformers and hundreds of other such movies. And the young minds always feel quite curious about these movies. And by letting them understand the basics, we can make them learn about the science behind how things work which will undoubtedly lead to a better future for posterity.

3.       Robots are almost everywhere today, and technology has been a much similar to be understood by a common person without and prerequisite knowledge in this field. Thus making it easier for school kids to understand the term and implement it in a more significant.

4.       In the coming 4-5 years robotics is going to be far better, more reliable, and more affordable and the most important more feasible. And they would be more close to the ones that you have seen in fiction movies till date. So, it’s obvious that the persons with better skills in robotics will rule the world, thus we can make the kids future ready.

5.       Robotics is a rapid-growing industry, with wide-range of applications to make this world a better place and carries enormous creative freedom. It’s virtually unregulated as well thus opening a big room for a lot of creativity, and technical approach.

6.       It’s an open source era with cross-disciplinary approach. Robotics offers great chance to learn and interact with computer programming, physics, social and ethical dimensions, engineering, chemistry and bio-technology in a more productive manner. Thus making kids learn to work in teams.

7.       And at last, it’s the beginning. Robotics is fun and of course great source of knowledge.

Thus it’s a great idea to make kids learn about robotics. As in our opinion, this is the only way in which we can make a technically advanced India. As it’s been said from years that ‘’THE EARLIER YOU START, THE FAR YOU GO’’. Happy Roboting guys.
